A Card A Day In May – Day 15

Today’s theme is a sketch card

When I was looking at this layout the first thing I thought of was graduation. We have a few so I need some cards, our school colors are blue & orange. I used a couple of retired sets, Cap & Gown & Here’s A Card. I do keep a few retired stamp sets, if it something that I like and will use again.I have about 3 sentiments stamp sets that are my absolute favorite.

The base of the card is Blueberry Bushel followed by Basic White and Pumpkin Pie card stock. The squares are 1 1/4”x 1 1/4”, the Pumpkin Pie strip is 1 1/2” x 5” the little strip is 3/4” x 2 1/2” stamp everything in Blueberry Bushel add pop dots to the saying and then some rhinestone and the card is complete.

Supplies: Cap & Gown and Here’s A Card stamp sets, Blueberry Bushel, Pumpkin Pie & Basic White card stock, Blueberry Bushel ink pad, Rhinestone gems & pop dots.

Remember to make the cards, send the cards & caring is sharing!

A Card A Day In May – Day 14

Today’s theme is “Never used set” since it’s the new catalog and I don’t have that many sets at the moment, I found one stamp set that I haven’t used yet. It’s called Simple Birthday. I was flipping through the new catalog and a card layout on page 34 caught my eye, so I designed my layout around that.

The base of card is Basic Black, its just a single layer, 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” the next layer is Calypso Coral, its 4”x 10 1/2” I embossed the front half with the Plaster 3d embossing folder. I stamped the large stamp in Black Momento ink onto Beautiful Bokeh 6×6 designer series paper, cut that at an angle, added Basic Black card stock and cut that at an angle to match. Added Holographic Resin dots, if you can’t tell I love these dots!!!

Supplies: Simply Birthday stamp set, Basic Black, Calypso Coral & Basic White (inside) card stock, Beautiful Bokeh 6×6 designer series paper, Black Momento ink pad, Plaster 3d embossing folder, Holographic Resin dots.

A Card A Day In May – Day 13

Today’s theme is “monochromatic” fun & easy to create, same colors, maybe add some designer series paper and basic white card stock. I picked out my designer series paper first and that lead me to using Shaded Spruce as my color choice. Honestly I have not used this color much, its a really pretty shade of green, plus having new coordinating ribbon in the annual catalog is a plus!

The base of card is Shaded Spruce followed a piece of Turtle-Y Cute 12×12 designer series paper that is layered onto Shaded Spruce and pop dots are used to lift it from the base. The stamp set is Textured Notes and the saying fits perfectly inside the Stylish Shapes square dies. The ribbon is Shaded Spruce & Soft Sea Foam, item #165234 and its the annual catalog. This ribbon is gorgeous, soft, satin like, I put down double sided tape and scrunched the ribbon along the card. This ribbon technique has been around forever, I just haven’t used it in a very long time.

Supplies: Textured Notes stamp set, Shaded Spruce & Basic White card stock, Turtle-Y Cute 12 x 12 designer series paper, Shaded Spruce ink pad, Stylish Shape dies, Shaded Spruce/Soft Sea Foam ribbon & pop dots.
