Mixed Media Floral Suite

This week I will be creating with the Mixed Media Floral Suite, it had the most votes from my poll on Facebook & Instagram. Be sure to follow me on both, Memories by Brenda is my user name.

This suite is an on-line exclusive and its features 2 stamp sets, dies, 3D embossing folder, gems and designer series paper! It’s a fantastic choice, its item number #164659, $128 US, before taxes and shipping.

My card for today can be used for almost any occasion, it’s sweet & simply, looks complex, but it is not.

This card is a little busier than I normally would have picked, but after it was finished, I really like the way it came together. We have a little bit of everything from embossing to blends and even two-tone sparkle gems, which is an on-line exclusive offering, but they pull in all the colors and it sparkles really well.

The base of the card is Shy Shamrock followed by a piece of 5”x 3 3/4” Petal Pink, that was ran through the embossing machine using the Plaster Painting 3d folder, added a strip of Mixed Media Florals designer series paper, that is 1” x 5” and then the other side of the same paper that is 1/2” x 5”. The flowers are stamped with Memento ink, since I am using blends for coloring. The Basic White is 1”x 2 1/4” and then Shy Shamrock layer is a 1/4” bigger. The colors I used for the blends are Petal Pink, Boho Blue & Flirty Flamingo, all dark shades. Finally added the two-two sparkle gems, it really does pull the Boho Blue from the designer series paper and flower in the middle.

Supplies: Shy Shamrock, Petal Pink & Basic White card stock, Mixed Media Florals designer series paper, Memento ink, Petal Pink, Boho Blue, Flirty Flamingo blends- dark shade, Two-Tone Sparkle Gems, Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder & Big Shot machine.

Friday’s final no stamping card

The last post of this week, creating cards with NO stamping! It has been a fun challenge, but I am excited to stamp for next week. Be sure to go to my facebook or instagram page, Memories by Brenda and vote on which bundle I should use.

Rounding out the week following the same lines as the Full of Life designer series paper and Say Something ephemera pack.

I could have chosen a few different colors to work with here, but the greens seemed fitting, since it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day! Again, no stamping, just using the saying in the package.

The base of the card is Granny Apple Green, then a piece of Basic White card stock and the piece of designer series paper. I used Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green for the word border, then added pop dots and rhinestones to finish off the card.

Supplies: Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Basic White card stock, Full of Life designer series paper, Say Something Ephemera pack, Rhinestones & Pop dots.

Oh Hey

Choosing to use the ephemera packs that are new this year are a great way to make, cute, quick cards without having to get all your supplies out. They would be perfect for your kids to help make a few. I picked “oh Hey” and the green glue dries clear and fits on the back. I did glue the saying onto a piece of Berry Burst card stock to help it stand out.

The base of the card is Blueberry Bushel, followed by a layer of Azure Afternoon and then the Full of Life designer series paper. A piece of Berry Burst with the sentiment and a few rhinestones and pop dots. Your quick, cute card is complete! Since there is a few different color options of this same pattern, you can easily recreate this card is a different color. Easy, peasy!

Supplies: Blueberry Bushel, Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst, Full of Life designer series paper, Say Something Ephemera pack, Rhinestone gems & pop dots.
