Moody madness

This card is using one on the in-colors that will be retiring in April, Moody Mauve, I will be sad to see it go, it’s a nice shady of dark pink. I made a z fold card, so normal size card stock, 4.25”x11”, scored in the middle at 5.5” and then scored at 2.75”. You can either leave the card open at the fold or adhere it down, I chose to leave it open for this card, so when you open it, it will be the full 11’ long.

I love the way the little butterflies add just a touch of shimmer to the card. Supplies used are Moody Mauve, Early Espresso & Basic White card stock, Wildly Flowering designer series paper, Early Espresso ink pad, Simply Said stamp set and the butterfly gems.

The size of the designer series paper is 3’ x 4’ and then it’s a 1/4” bigger for the Early Espresso card stock. The basic white piece is 1.75”x2.25” and then its just a 1/4” bigger for the Early Espresso.

Wildly Flowering Week

This week I will be featuring this beautiful Wildly Flowering designer series paper. If you don’t already have this paper, I would order it ASAP. This will retire in April, since it features the in-colors that are also retiring. But this paper is just too beautiful not to use it.

My card for today is simple to create, but when I was grabbing a sentiment, I grabbed a retired stamp set, that I didn’t know retired! So just grab your favorite sentiment and use that on your card and life will be just fine!

Supplies used for this card is Crumb Cake and Basic White card stock, Wildly Flowering designer series paper, Misty Moonlight ink pad, pop dots on both the big image and sentiment image, any long sentiment that you would like to use & finally some Moody Mauve gems. Those are also retired, sorry! The strip of Misty Moonlight paper is actually the backside of the Wildly Flowering paper that I used on the front.

Be sure to come back on Wednesday and see what I have made with the Wildly Flowering designer series paper, and I promise not to use any retired items!
