Spring Fever 12×12 page layout

Have you heard me say, "that I love the spring fever simply scrappin' kit?"  Well I do!  Here is a double 12×12 page layout from Easter 2011.

This layout features the Spring Fever Simply Scrappin kit and Bordering on Romance stamp set.  I also used the Big Shot, Top Note die, Naturally Serif die and Scallop border punch.  Here is a closer view of each page.

Here is the left page, you can see that I stamped the flowers down the side in Melon Mambo ink onto Daffodil Delight card stock, layered a piece of designer series paper and a strip that was punched out with scallop border punch.  I stamped the flowers twice onto Whisper White card stock, I cut the three flowers out and colored them in with re-inkers and added pop dots and pearls and layered them onto the leaves and flowers.  I used one Top Note, cut in half for journaling on both pages.

Here is the left page, same supplies, just copied onto the other side of the page.  I did add a pearl to middle of the Top Note die and onto the center of the green swirly accent.

These page layouts were inspired by a page that Jessica Lamb created at www.jessicalambsstamps.com, she is a fellow demonstrator that had a similar layout on her blog.  She does have her instructions/class for sale at her site, if you are interested in that.

Supplies:

  • Spring Fever Simply Scrappin' kit
  • Bordering on Romance stamp set
  • Big Shot, Top Note die, Naturally Serif die
  • Scallop border punch, Scallop circle punch

I hope that you have enjoyed my pages!  I'm hoping to get to share a lot with more in the future, I need to get my butt in gear and work on my pages this summer, I'm so far behind.  My oldest will be a freshman in the fall and I think it might take me till he is a senior to get all his pages done!

Happy Little Bug

When I saw the new Playful Polka Dot Simply Scrappin kit in the Summer Mini catalog, I knew that I had to have it.  Here is a page that I created from it.

Lindsay was 4 months old in the picture, but today is 26 months old.  Let's just say, I'm really behind on my pages.  The way I look at it is that I have 4 years until my oldest graduates high school, I better get moving.

The base of the page is the Rose Red texture card stock, followed by a piece of the designer series paper.  I did trimmed it down to 11 inches by 11 inches.  I placed the flower stem directly onto the paper and added pop dots to the back of the flowers.  The long picture is also placed directly onto the paper, while the closer one is popped up.  For the title, I used the Big Shot and Naturally Serif alphabet.  I also used the Rose Red texture cardstock for the alphabet.

Supplies:

  • Playful Polka Dot Simply Scrappin kit (I used the Rose Red & Daffodil Delight cs)
  • Big Shot and Naturally Serif alphabet
  • Pop dots and Rose Red Stampin' Up! Marker

I'm in the process of creating a few more pages, using this kit.  I'll will share with you soon.  It takes me forever to create a page, I'm way too picky.  I end up changes things like 20 times before I glue them done.

A Day At the Zoo….

Last month I held a Scrapbooking night, since it was National Scrapbooking Month and here was one of the layouts that we made.

I started with 12 x 12 Old Olive card stock.  Then I grabbed Tall Tales designer series paper and thought that this would make a cute zoo page.  There is a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock that has been punched out with the scallop border punch and then a layer of So Saffron card stock.  Then on the Tall Tales designer series paper, I took the Ticket Corner punch and punched out each corner and added Brilliant Blue brads.  This is done on both sides of the pages.   In the middle is the white journaling boxes.  They too are using the ticket corner punch and Brilliant Blue brads.  For the title I used Contempo Alphabet stamp set, each letter was stamped onto Whisper White card stock.   I always use craft ink on my pages, it does take a little time to dry, but I know that stamped item will be there forever.  The colors I used are Brilliant Blue and Rose Red, then the circle punches to punch out the letters and added a pop dot to each one.  I matted all the pictures with So Saffron and Chocolate Chip, about 1/8".

Here are a few more pictures:

Supplies:

  • Contempo Alphabet stamp set
  • Old Olive, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red and Whisper White card stock
  • Tall Tales designer series paper
  • Brilliant Blue and Rose Red craft ink
  • Brilliant Blue brads
  • Ticker Corner Punch, Scallop border punch,  3/4" circle punch and 1 inch punch and pop dots

Thank you for visiting today, I hope that you have enjoyed my scrapbook pages!!!
