Latenight Stamper’s Weekly Challenge 155

It's been forever since I posted and participated in the Latenight Stamper's challenge.  Bad, very bad on my part, I'm getting back into "my stampin' routine" and finding my mojo again.  I'm sure once baby number 3 arrives, things will be crazy again, but for the moment I'm feeling better and excited to stamp and create!!  Here is the card that I created for it:

It's a bit of stretch, but it's the only stamp I could find that had fruit on it!  The base of the card is Tempting Turquoise followed by Daffodil Delight.  Then using a variety of different circle punches and Big Top Birthday designer series paper, I punched out the different size circles and randomly layed them along the side.  I used a piece of Real Red satin ribbon and scrunched it along the card.  I stamped the monkey in Basic Black ink and used SU markers to color him in.  It was punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle punch, then it was layered on a piece of designer series paper that was punched out with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and finally layered onto 2 1/2" circle punch.  I added pop dots on the back of the monkey and then a few more when I added the entire circle onto the card.

Supplies:
  • Kiddoodles stamp set
  • Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight & Whisper White card stock
  • Big Top Birthday designer series paper
  • Basic Black ink pad and SU markers
  • Real Red satin ribbons
  • 1 1/4" , 1 3/8", 1 3/4" and 2 1/2" circle punches & 2 3/8" scallop circle punch
  • pop dots

Gift Givers meets the In-Colors!!!

Gift Givers is in the Holiday Mini catalog on page 39, it is such a cute set!!  It works perfectly with our different punches.

The base of this card is Island Indigo followed by a layer of Whisper White card stock.  Then a piece of Lucky Limeade that was ran through the Big Shot using the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  I took a piece of red sticky tape and placed it across the front of the card and then gathered a piece of 5/8" Whisper White organza ribbon, use a pleating fold and then push in down into the tape.  For the little girl, she is inked up in Basic Black and then punched out using the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch.  She is colored with SU markers (blush blossom, lucky limeade and island indigo) and then layered onto the 2 3/8" scallop circle.  Add a few pop dots and attach to the top of the ribbon.

Supplies:

  • Gift Givers stamp set
  • Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White card stock
  • Basic Black ink pad
  • SU Markers (blush blossom, lucky limeade, island indigo)
  • Big Shot and Northern Flurry embossing folder
  • 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch and 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch
  • 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon
  • Red Sticky Tape and Pop dots

LNS Challenge 132 ~ Punch A Bunch

There is a fun challenge over at Late Night Stampers,  Punch A Bunch!  Here is what I came up with:

The base of the card is Concord Crush followed by Lucky Limeade cs.  Melon Mambo cs was ran through the Big Shot, using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  Then I took a piece of Cheerful Treats designer series paper (this is one of the hostess sets) and layered it with Concord Crush cs.  I stamped the butterflies from Flower Fest onto Concord Crush cs using Concord Crush ink and punched them out.  I added three rhinestone jewels and a few pop dots.  I only added pop dots to one side of the butterflies wings, so the other one can be bend up a little bit.

Supplies:

  • Flower Fest stamp set
  • Concord Crush, Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo card stock
  • Cheerful Treat designer series paper
  • Concord Crush ink pad
  • Butterfly punch
  • Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder
  • Rhinestone Jewels and pop dots

I hope that you have time to play along with all of us over at Late Night Stampers.  You have until Sunday night to add your creation to the folder.  All of the details are at the bottom of the post.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  I've missed stamping and posting, life has gotten a little too crazy around here.  Things will be slowing down in a matter of weeks, the county fair will be done with (my son shows pigs) and I will be starting childcare at the end of the month.  I will be getting back to working on my SU business, by having more classes and in-home parties.

LNS Challenge 127

For the Late Night Stamper's Challenge this week is to create something that uses Red, White and Blue for the colors.  Perfect timing, since this weekend is 4th of July here in the United States.  Here is a quick and easy card that I created:

The base of the card is Night of Navy, followed by Cherry Cobbler and then Whisper White.  The Whisper White was ran through the Big Shot, using the Polka Dot embossing folder.  I took a piece of red sticky tape and went across the white and then folded the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon across that.  (Check out page 195 in new SU Idea Book and Catalog for all the different colors of seam binding ribbon.) For the flower, I used the rock-n-roll technique.  First you rock the flower in Night of Navy ink and then roll the edges in Cherry Cobbler  ink and stamp onto Whisper White card stock.  Then I cut out the flower and added pop dots to it.  I took the Rhinestone Jewels and added them to the center.

As you can see here, the jewels are all different sizes.  I just filled in the center with them, I think it adds a great deal of sparkle to the card!

Supplies:

  • Love & Care stamp set
  • Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White card stock
  • Big Shot and Polka Dot emboss folder
  • Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler ink pads
  • Rhinestone Jewels and pop dots
  • Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon and red sticky tape.

Wishing you all a safe and Happy 4th of July Holiday!!!
