LNS Challenge 172

There has been a few changes on the LNS design team this past week.  First off, we have added new design team members!!!  Check out my sidebar for everyone!  Second, my weekly post for the challenge will be on Sundays.  This week's challenge is "Sorry to See You Go"  so basically anything that will be retiring from paper, stamps, accessories, etc.  Here is my card for this week:

Pocket Silhouettes is a retiring stamp set, I will be sad to see it go, I used it quite a bit.  The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz followed by Blushing Bride card stock.  I added a piece of Blushing Bride designer series paper from the paper stack and added the pear pizzazz ribbon.  I stamped the flower in Pear Pizzazz ink and repeated it, four times.  Layered the stamped image onto Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz card stock and added a few pop dots.

Supplies:

  • Pocket Silhouettes stamp set
  • Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride & Whisper White card stock
  • In-Color Designer Series Paper Pack
  • Pear Pizzazz ink pad
  • Pear Pizzazz ribbon and pop dots

I hope that you have time to play along with us tonight.  A new challenge will be posted on Monday morning.  You can visit us at www.latenightstampers.yahoogroup.com

LNS Challenge 170 ~ Pinterest CASE

This week's challenge at LateNight Stampers is to CASE Pinterest.  I Love that site, very easy to use and there are wonderful ideas for everything on it.  Plus you can follow me!!  Here is my CASE

This card is featuring the Summer Smooches promotion, that will be ending in a few days!  I tweaked the card a bit from the original artist, I added the saying in a square and the ribbon.  Anyways, I really love the way this card turned out!!!

The base of the card is Whisper White card stock, followed by 1/2" strips of Summer Smooches designer series paper.  The nice thing about this card is that you can use any scraps of paper that you have left.  The saying is from the hostess set "Happiest Birthday Wishes", which will also be retiring at the end of May.  This is one set, that I WILL NOT be parting with, I use it all the time.  It's perfect for birthdays.

Supplies:

  • Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set
  • Whisper White & Real Red card stock
  • Summer Smooches designer series paper
  • Real Red ink pad
  • 1/8" Real Red Taffeta ribbon & glue dot

Challenge 164 at LNS

This week's challenge over at LateNight Stampers is Easter!  Here is a card that I made for a swap and it fits perfectly with theme.

It uses one of my favorite sets from the catalog, Everybunny.  The base of the card is Concord Crush followed by Melon Mambo and finally Whisper White card stock.  I added a piece of Cheerful Treat designer series paper.  (This is a hostess set item)  I stamped the bunny and saying in Black Staz On ink.  I colored the bunny in with SU markers and then added Crystal Effects to the egg shell.  I used the Big Shot and Labels collection framelits dies to cut out the Whisper White, Melon Mambo and Concord Crush card stock.  I LOVE this die, this is a must have if you own the Big Shot!  I scrunched the whisper white organdy ribbon across the card and added a few pop dots to the main image.  For the saying I punched it out with the Modern Label Punch, added the Rhinestone Jewels and pop dots.

Supplies:

  • Everybunny stamp set
  • Concord Crush, Melon Mambo & Whisper White card stock
  • Black Staz On ink pad
  • SU Markers
  • Cheerful Treat designer series paper
  • Big Shot and Labels Collection framelits die
  • Crystal Effects
  • Modern Label Punch
  • Whisper White organdy ribbon
  • Rhinestone Jewels
  • Pop dots

Latenight Stamper’s Challenge 157

This week is a fun challenge Love/Valentine!  I have always enjoyed making Valentine cards for my kids and making their boxes at school.  When I was flipping through my designer series paper, I came across an unopened package of Flirtatious Specialty paper and I had an idea!

These colors just scream Valentine's Day to me!  The stamp is from Outlined Occasions, which is one of the FREE sale-a-bration items that you could earn!  The base of the card is Pretty in Pink followed by Wisteria Wonder.  Then I cut pieces of the Flirtatious Specialty paper and laid them down and added a piece of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon.  I cut a 3 inch by 3 inch square of Pretty in Pink card stock and the layered a 2 3/4 inch x 2 3/4 inch whisper white square.  For the doilies, I cut them apart from the bigger piece of designer series paper, if you cut each one out carefully you will be able to get 16 cards from the doilies.  Finally I stamped the image in basic black ink, colored it in with SU markers and punched it out using the extra large oval punch.  Of course, I added pop dots to the back of the stamped image and to the back of 3 inch square.  I don't think I can make a card without using pop dots somewhere on it!

Supplies:

  • Outlined Occasions stamp set
  • Pretty in Pink, Wisteria Wonder & Whisper White card stock
  • Flirtatious Specialty paper
  • Basic Black ink pad and SU markers
  • Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon
  • Extra Large Oval punch and pop dots

Thanks for stopping by, I hope that you have enjoyed today's card.
