Spring is here….
Today is the first full day of spring, the warm weather will be here soon! I have been working on cards for my monthly card class that will be this week (more details about the class, at the end). Here is one of the cards that you could be making……
please excuse the glare, that is what happens when I use crystal effects and I am in hurry to take the picture.
The base of the card is Certainly Celery, a layer of Almost Amethyst and a strip of Tea Party designer series paper. I was happy to see that this ds paper carried over from the previous catalog, all of the papers just scream "springtime and easter". I place the pretty in pink satin ribbon just on top of the ds paper. Then I stamped the image in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White paper. Everything is colored in with SU markers and then crystal effects is applied to the basket and tulips. For the tag, I used Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and stamped that in Basic black and punched out the saying with the word window punch. I punched out the pretty in pink label with the modern label punch, added So Saffron brads and two pop dots to the back. There are also pop dots on the main images as well.
Supplies:
- Flowers for All Seasons and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets
- Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White card stock
- Tea Party designer series paper
- Basic Black ink pad
- SU Markers ~ Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink & Certainly Celery
- Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, modern label punch, word window punch, So Saffron brads, crystal effects and pop dots
If you like this card and would like to make it, please join me on either Tuesday, March 23rd or Wednesday, March 24th from 6:30pm to 9:00pm for my monthly card class. The cost of the class is $15 for 8 cards with envelopes. Why do I give envelopes?? I love SU envelopes, if you are going to send an SU card, you need the proper envelope and second, I never send out a naked envelope. There is always a little sneak peek on them. Here I stamped and colored in the main image. Everyone loves to get happy mail!!! Please contact me at 651-206-8792, if you would like to attend. I live in southern Dakota county, which is about 45 minutes south of the Twin Cities or north of Rochester.
I hope that you like the sample, thanks for visiting!!
