Mixed Bunch stamp set

Have you check out page 17 of the Occasion Mini Catalog yet?  It has this wonderful stamp set called, Mixed Bunch and it has a matching punch.  I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I participated in a few swaps, so I could get some wonderful samples and here is one card that I created.

How I decided on this color combination was that I was looking at my ribbon rack and I saw that I had four rolls of Chocolate Chip polka dotted ribbon.  Well, I figured I better start using some of it and that was that.  The base of this card is Chocolate Chip followed by a layer of Lucky Limeade and then a piece of Calypso Coral.  If you look closely you can see that there are some lines around the Coral cardstock.  I took the simply scored tool and scored two lines around the outside 1/4" apart.  It's much nicer in real life, it really adds to the card.  I used a birthday greeting from "On Your Birthday" and that was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  I stamped the flower in Calypso Coral ink and punched it out with the Blossom punch.  I also punched another flower out of Lucky Limeade cardstock added the 5/16" chocolate chip brad to the middle.  On the back of the whisper white card stock, I added two pop dots and bend up the petals a little bit.

Supplies:

  • Mixed Bunch and On Your Birthday stamp set
  • Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral & Whisper White card stock
  • Chocolate Chip & Calypso Coral ink pads
  • Blossom punch
  • 5/16" Chocolate Chip brad
  • Chocolate Chip polka dotted ribbon
  • pop dots

Wish Big with Word Play!!!!

The amazing "Word Play" stamp set is 30% off this month!!  In my opinion, this is one of the "gotta have" stamp sets in your collection.  It helps me out when I'm looking for something a little special.  The card that I made, is for my niece, who is turning 1.  I wanted to use the inlayed technique that everyone is using.  It's quick and easy to do, gotta love that.

I picked out my colors, by flipping through the color coach.  I looked at each card, until I found the right color combination that would fit my niece.  The base of the card is Perfect Plum, followed by a layer of Marina Mist and then Rose Red.  I used the 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/2" and 1" circle punches and punched out the different circles.  I adhered them to the Whisper White card stock and then ran the entire piece through the Big Shot, using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  As you can see, I made some of the circles lay off the side, so I just cut them off, after it was embossed.  For the stamped image, I colored in the words with SU markers and punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  It was placed onto the 2 1/2" Perfect Plum circle and then rhinestone jewels were placed around it.  Finally I added pop dots and attached it to the card.

Supplies:

  • Word Play stamp set
  • Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Rose Red and Whisper White card stock
  • Big Shot and Square Lattice embossing folder
  • SU Markers ~ Rose Red, Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight
  • 2 1/2", 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/2" and 1" circle punches
  • Rhinestone Jewels and pop dots

As it so happens, this card will also work for the Late Night Stampers challenge of the week.  It's super easy this week, just use 3 embellishments!  If you would like to play along, please visit us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StampinUpLNStampers/ and add your creation to the members album.

Bring on the cake…..

There is only a few more days for you to order anything and everything from the Occasions Mini catalog and the Spring is Blossoming promotion.  You have until April 30, 2011!!  What are you waiting for??

I've created a girly birthday card, using items from the Occasions Mini catalog.

The base of the card is Melon Mambo followed by a layer of Wild Wasabi and then a piece of Sweet Stitches designer series paper.  I sure do hope that "Bring on the Cake" stamp set will make it into the new catalog, I so love using it.  I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed on that one!  I stamped the saying in Basic Black ink and colored it in with SU markers.  Then its layered onto Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo card stocks.  Then there is pop dots added and finally the Melon Mambo pompom trim.  I found the best way to use the pompom trim is by using glue dots.  They are small enough to fit behind the trim and you can't see them.

Supplies:

  • Bring on the Cake stamp set
  • Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White card stock
  • Sweet Stitches designer series paper
  • Basic Black ink pad and SU Markers (wild wasabi and daffodil delight)
  • Melon Mambo pompom trim
  • Glue dots and pop dots

Be sure to come back this week and see some more samples, made with items from the Occasion Mini catalog.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, if you have a minute, please leave me a comment.  I would love to know what you think about my card.

TSSC 165

It's still Monday, by a few hours and here is this week's sketch challenge:

I love this sketch, I just didn't have all the time and energy to create mine.  Poor little Lindsay has the flu bug, running a high fever, chills, coughing, etc.  It's so hard to tend to her because she can't tell you what she wants or needs yet.  She almost two, but not till next week.  Anyways here is my card:

This is a bright and cheery card that represents Spring, which also happens to be this week's challenge over at the Late Night Stampers.  The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz followed by Whisper White and then m>Blushing Bride.  I took the scallop trim border punch and punched out the Whisper White card stock and then added a piece of Pear Pizzazz designer series paper from the Level 1 hostess items in the Idea Book and Catalog.  I stamped the saying, which is from the Level 2 hostess set in the Occasion Mini Catalog, in Regal Rose ink.  The flowers are from For All You do stamp set, I used the rock-n-roll technique on them.  Blushing Bride and then rock-n-roll into Regal Rose, cut them out and added a pearl jewel to each one.  Added pop dots of two of the flowers and then attached to the card.  Finally, using my tool spritzer and a Regal Rose marker, I added a few specs of color and then added Vanilla Shimmer Spritz to the card.

Supplies:

  • For All You Do and Something to Celebrate stamp sets
  • Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Whisper White card stock
  • Designer Series Paper pack – In Colors (Level 1 hostess item)
  • Blushing Bride and Regal Rose ink pads
  • Scallop Trim border punch, Pearl Jewels, Vanilla Shimmer Spritz and pop dots
  • Tool Spritzer, Regal Rose SU marker

I hope that you will join the fun, please visit www.technostamper.blogspot.com and enter yours today!!
