Cupcakes, anyone????
These are the best kind of cupcakes, calorie free and no stamping involved!!! I came up with this card for my February card class, I wanted to show off the Sweet Shop stickers.
.jpg)
The base of the card is Calypso Coral followed by a layer of Soft Suede. The Whisper White card stock was ran through the Big Shot, using Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I added a piece of cupcake paper from the Sweet Shop specialty designer series paper. Put on the Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon. I punched out the scallop circle punch in Soft Suede and then a whisper white circle using the 1 3/8" circle punch. Finally to the stickers, if you look at the package of stickers, there are 4 sets of cupcakes that are in groups of 3, well I just cut them apart and added one to the card. Put a couple of pop dots on the back and it's done!
Supplies:
- Calypso Coral, Soft Suede & Whisper White card stock
- Sweet Shop Stickers and Specialty Paper
- Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder
- Scallop Circle Punch and 1 3/8" Circle Punch
- Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon and pop dots

Picture inspired card…….
One of my favorite yahoo groups, SSUS, has a challenge every week and a few weeks ago this picture

was our inspiration to create a card. I loved the colors and polka dots and this is what I came up with

I started with a base of Whisper White card stock and then took another piece and ran it through the Big Shot, using Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. The flowers are from Bordering on Romance, in the Occasion Mini catalog. I stamped the flowers onto the Whisper White cs, using basic black ink and then I stamped the image again on a scratch whisper white cs. I colored in the main image using SU markers and on the scratch image, I colored in just the 3 flowers, cut them out, applied pop dots and attached them on the top. Finally I added Rhinestone Jewels to the center of each flower. I used Sincere Salutations and stamped the saying down the side, added a little Melon Mambo cs and the card is finished.
Supplies:
- Bordering on Romance and Sincere Salutations stamp sets
- Whisper White & Melon Mambo card stocks
- Basic Black & Melon Mambo ink pads
- SU Markers
- Rhinestone Jewels & pop dots
- Big Shot & Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder

Mixed Bunch stamp set
Have you check out page 17 of the Occasion Mini Catalog yet? It has this wonderful stamp set called, Mixed Bunch and it has a matching punch. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I participated in a few swaps, so I could get some wonderful samples and here is one card that I created.

How I decided on this color combination was that I was looking at my ribbon rack and I saw that I had four rolls of Chocolate Chip polka dotted ribbon. Well, I figured I better start using some of it and that was that. The base of this card is Chocolate Chip followed by a layer of Lucky Limeade and then a piece of Calypso Coral. If you look closely you can see that there are some lines around the Coral cardstock. I took the simply scored tool and scored two lines around the outside 1/4" apart. It's much nicer in real life, it really adds to the card. I used a birthday greeting from "On Your Birthday" and that was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. I stamped the flower in Calypso Coral ink and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also punched another flower out of Lucky Limeade cardstock added the 5/16" chocolate chip brad to the middle. On the back of the whisper white card stock, I added two pop dots and bend up the petals a little bit.
Supplies:
- Mixed Bunch and On Your Birthday stamp set
- Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral & Whisper White card stock
- Chocolate Chip & Calypso Coral ink pads
- Blossom punch
- 5/16" Chocolate Chip brad
- Chocolate Chip polka dotted ribbon
- pop dots

Wish Big with Word Play!!!!
The amazing "Word Play" stamp set is 30% off this month!! In my opinion, this is one of the "gotta have" stamp sets in your collection. It helps me out when I'm looking for something a little special. The card that I made, is for my niece, who is turning 1. I wanted to use the inlayed technique that everyone is using. It's quick and easy to do, gotta love that.

I picked out my colors, by flipping through the color coach. I looked at each card, until I found the right color combination that would fit my niece. The base of the card is Perfect Plum, followed by a layer of Marina Mist and then Rose Red. I used the 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/2" and 1" circle punches and punched out the different circles. I adhered them to the Whisper White card stock and then ran the entire piece through the Big Shot, using the Square Lattice embossing folder. As you can see, I made some of the circles lay off the side, so I just cut them off, after it was embossed. For the stamped image, I colored in the words with SU markers and punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch. It was placed onto the 2 1/2" Perfect Plum circle and then rhinestone jewels were placed around it. Finally I added pop dots and attached it to the card.
Supplies:
- Word Play stamp set
- Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Rose Red and Whisper White card stock
- Big Shot and Square Lattice embossing folder
- SU Markers ~ Rose Red, Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight
- 2 1/2", 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/2" and 1" circle punches
- Rhinestone Jewels and pop dots
As it so happens, this card will also work for the Late Night Stampers challenge of the week. It's super easy this week, just use 3 embellishments! If you would like to play along, please visit us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StampinUpLNStampers/ and add your creation to the members album.
Thank you for stopping by today!!! If you have recently found me through Kelly's blog find of the day, then welcome, I hope you are inspired to create something wonderful today!
