Baptism Invitation

When I found out that we were expecting, I bought a couple new stamp sets.  One of them was Special Blessings, I knew that I would need to make baptism invitations.  I wanted something simple and elegant, well I hope that I did that.

For the card, I stamped the cross in Regal Rose craft ink and used clear emboss powder and heat set.  For the Whisper White card stock, I embossed them with the Big Shot, using the Stampin’ Up! Backgrounds 1, the swirly one.  I did this on all the Whisper White card stock.  Then I cut out the cross and added pop dots to the back and also on the back of the base, so they are popped off the card front.  For the inside, I printed out the information onto whisper white card stock and cut it down to fit.  I did make matching thank you cards as well, the only difference is that it does say thank you on the front of them.

Parisian Breeze Specialty paper ~ my fav!!

I am going to share with you another one of my favorite designer series paper ~ Parisian Breeze.  I LOVE this paper, it is a heavier weight card stock, there is also a texture to it.  Plus who doesn’t love the colors!!  I will miss Baja Breeze when it retires.  Anyways this card is can be used as is or it would good for a "manly" type card, birthday, father days, get well, etc.  Really simply to re-create, so you can easily make many or use them in a workshop setting.

The base of the card is Baja Breeze card stock, then add the Parisian Breeze paper add the 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.  For the main image, stamp the tree in Chocolate Chip ink and add your saying.  I wanted to make a sympathy card, so I pick this saying.  The other saying in the Thoughts and Prayers set would work as well.  I did add pop dots to the back of the image before adhering it to the card.

Wishing you all a very Happy Mother’s Day!!  Enjoy the weekend

Sweet Stems

I love using the designer series paper and that is a great thing, since it is on special this month!  Remember that you can buy 3 packages of designer series and/or texture papers and get the 4th one free.  This card uses Raspberry Tart, one of my favorites!!

The base of card uses Pink Pirouette card stock, then the Raspberry Tart designer series paper, along with Kiwi Kiss and Rose Red.  For the main image, the flower is stamped using Black Staz on and then is watercolored in with re-inkers and a blender pen.  I used the cutter kit tool on the edges of the naturals white card stock.  There is pop dots underneath the naturals white card stock and then added to Rose Red card stock.  Wrap the Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla ribbon around the card stock  and assemble your card.  Don’t forget to pick out a saying that is suitable for your needs, this card works for many different occasions.
