Divas Sketch #5

Every Friday there is a wonderful sketch posted at Utah Divas International blog, this is my card for this week.

Divas Sketch 5I didn’t use any stamps!!! These are beginning to be my favorite types of cards.  Most of the items came from the Holiday Mini catalog.  This is the first time that I have used the Alpine Ribbon Originals, there are 3 rolls of ribbon sold together for $14.95, the chocolate chip is felt and a bit thicker than out felt flurries.  I started out with a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square card out of Baja Breeze card stock, then I added a 5" x 5" chocolate chip cs and then added 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece of ski slope designer series paper.  I used the 1" circle punch and the 1 1/4" circle punches and then added snowflakes from the Season of Cheer rub ons.  I used the little felt flurries on the middle circle along with a silver brad.  Finally I cut out a greeting from the Season of Cheer rub ons and then added the ribbon.

Here is the sketch for today’s challenge

Please check out this post for all the details of today’s sketch along with the other players.

Witching You…..

A haunting Halloween! Witching you I love this card that I received from Nancy Clark!  Nancy is a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and is a part of Utah Divas International.  She also happens to be my Stampin’ Sister until the end of November. Anyways, she sent me this card wishing me and my family a Happy Halloween.  I actually own this stamp set and it yet hasn’t seen any ink!  I think that Nancy used one of the SU punches and punched out the circle/moon and then used that piece as a mask and then sponged the color around that.

Sunflower Cheer

This stamp set, A Flower for All Seasons is a must have in my book.  It works for many different ideas, birthday, get well, Christmas, etc.  I used this one as a cheery fall card, this finished size is 4" x 4" .  I like making this size because they will fit into our medium size envelopes and don’t cost more to mail.  I used Autumn Vine designer series paper, along with Really Rust, More Mustard, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla card stocks.  I colored the image with SU markers and added crystal effects on the top of the ladybug, flower pot, and the sunflowers.  I took the mat pack and a thumb tack and poked holes around the edges added the ribbon and it was done!  *Personal note, I like using an extra large thumb tack, instead of the needle or paper piercer, it just works better.

Glittery Christmas Wishes

What a week, it has been!  I was getting ready for my monthly card classes and I fell behind on the site again!  Here is a card that we made a class.  I did get this idea from a couple of sites that I did browse, but I am sorry that I can’t remember where I was at.  If this is part of your design, then I thank you very much!  To you & YoursThis is one of my favorite new holiday stamp sets, To You & Yours.  I can’t wait to make a card with the house, I have a great idea for that one.  This card went to together pretty quick, it has going gray, bashful blue and whisper white card stock.  For an added punch, I did use Bashful Blue Patterns designer series paper on the second layer.  Stamped the images in Basic Gray and added glitter to the dove.
