Just a few things……
Hello Everyone!!!
Thanks to everyone that has taken the time to stop by my site and leave a comment. I so do appreciate them all. The past few months, I have been "slacking", for a better term on my blog posts. I have been doing a few different classes and conference calls and such to help me build my Stampin' Up! business. With the new catalog right around the corner, I want to "kick it into highgear" with my business. I will be doing more home parties and classes. I really love the flexible schedule with SU, the money is awesome and I get to do something that I actually enjoy. I also will be cutting back on current job, it just isn't for me at this time. I will start in-home childcare on August 29th, I can't wait!! I really love being with all the kids and all the fun that entails. I previously did daycare from 2000 until 2007, I took a little break from it, but I wish I never really did. Oh well, live and learn!!!!
Did you know that I'm on facebook? A few of you have found me, but not too many! If you have a moment, please "like" me on facebook. This link here, should take you right to my page. If not, just search for Memories by Brenda ~ Brenda Taylor~ Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
I hope that you all are having a safe and happy Memorial weekend!!!! Thanks for letting me share with you.
Happy Stampin'!

Flower Fest
Have you checked out page 20 of the Summer Mini catalog? If so, then you already know about Flower Fest stamp set. This set works with 5 of our punches, how cool is that! Here is a card that I made, I was inspired by a few different cards that I had seen on the web,

The base of the card is Pretty in Pink followed by Perfect Plum. I stamped the flowers onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and then added a piece of Certainly Celery patterns designer series paper. I added a line of sticky tape and then proceed to scrunch the ribbon along it. I punched out tag punch and cut it half and stamped the saying in Perfect Plum ink.
Supplies:
- Flower Fest and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set
- Pretty in Pink, Perfect Plum and Whisper White card stock
- Subtles Pattern Designer Series Paper
- Pretty in Pink, Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery ink pads
- Certainly Celery satin ribbon, sticky tape
- Decorative Tag Punch

Fun in the Sun!
Sunny Fun is one of the stamp sets that I just had to have out of the summer mini catalog. It's a set of five stamps, that are just perfect for the summertime. Here is a card that we will be making at my card class this week. I was inspired by a card, similar to this one made by LeeAnn Greff, a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

I think this card just says "summer" perfectly!! The base of the card is Poppy Parade followed by Basic Black and then Whisper White. The Whisper White card stock was ran through the Big Shot, using the Polka Dot embossing folder. Then I cut out strips of Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz card stock and layered them onto a piece of Basic Black card stock. I do believe that I cut the card stock strips 1 1/8" wide by 1 3/4" long and then the Basic Black cs is 2 inches wide by 4 6/8" long. It's weird measurements, it took me a while to get it. I stamped the image in Basic Black ink and then added Crystal Effects to the bottom, to make it look like water a bit. I added pop dots to the back and attached it to the card. Finally I stamped the saying in Basic Black ink and punched it out with Word Window Punch. I added the two rhinestone jewels and then attached it to the Basic Black cs, that was punched out using the Modern Label punch.
Supplies:
- Sunny Fun stamp set
- Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz cs
- Basic Black ink pad
- Big Shot and Polka Dot embossing folder
- Crystal Effects, Rhinestone Jewels and Pop dots
- Modern Label punch and Word Window punch
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! It was a pleasure to have you here.
Happy Stampin'~

Way to Go…..
Have you looked at the "Recess" stamp set in the summer mini catalog yet?? This was the very first set that I ordered! I just love kids and thought of all the great cards and scrapbook pages that I could use it on. Here is a card that I made for a swap, I geared it towards little boys, for a job well done.

The base of the card is Pacific Point, followed by a layer of Daffodil Delight and then a piece from the Brights Patterns designer series paper stack. I love using the new clear stamps, especially when there is a saying involved. For this one I picked out the little boy on the swing and the "way to go" and placed both of them onto the clear block and inked them up together. I used SU markers to color him in and then layered him onto the colors. I added a piece of Whisper White grosgrain ribbon around the Daffodil Delight and the Brights pattern ds paper. Finally added a few pop dots and the card is done. Perfect for a little boy, not to frilly, yet fun!
Here is a closer look at the little boy:
