Archive for April, 2011:
Butterfly, fly away…..
Only for a couple more days, can I continue to share items from the Occasions Mini catalog with you all. I will sure miss the Nature Walk stamp set, maybe it will make it into the new catty? You never know!

The base of this card is Old Olive followed by a layer of Very Vanilla card stock. Then it's a piece of Botanical Gazette designer series paper. I punched out a strip of Old Olive cs using the scallop trim border punch. I gathered a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon across the top of the scallop border. I stamped the butterfly in Basic Black ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and punched it out using the 1 3/4" circle punch. Then I stamped another butterfly and cut its wing off. I sponged both butterflies using Old Olive ink and a sponge dauber. I added pop dots to the wing. Then attached it to the Extra Large Scallop Punch and added 3 layers of pop dots to the back and attach it to the card. I need the extra layers of pop dots to get over the ribbon.
Supplies:
- Nature Walk stamp set
- Old Olive and Very Vanilla card stock
- Botanical Gazette designer series paper
- Basic Black and Old Olive ink pads, sponge dauber
- Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon
- 1 3/4" circle punch, Extra Large Scallop Punch and Scallop Trim border punch
- Lots of pop dots
I hope that you enjoyed this card!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Bring on the cake…..
There is only a few more days for you to order anything and everything from the Occasions Mini catalog and the Spring is Blossoming promotion. You have until April 30, 2011!! What are you waiting for??
I've created a girly birthday card, using items from the Occasions Mini catalog.
.jpg)
The base of the card is Melon Mambo followed by a layer of Wild Wasabi and then a piece of Sweet Stitches designer series paper. I sure do hope that "Bring on the Cake" stamp set will make it into the new catalog, I so love using it. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed on that one! I stamped the saying in Basic Black ink and colored it in with SU markers. Then its layered onto Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo card stocks. Then there is pop dots added and finally the Melon Mambo pompom trim. I found the best way to use the pompom trim is by using glue dots. They are small enough to fit behind the trim and you can't see them.
Supplies:
- Bring on the Cake stamp set
- Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White card stock
- Sweet Stitches designer series paper
- Basic Black ink pad and SU Markers (wild wasabi and daffodil delight)
- Melon Mambo pompom trim
- Glue dots and pop dots
Be sure to come back this week and see some more samples, made with items from the Occasion Mini catalog.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by, if you have a minute, please leave me a comment. I would love to know what you think about my card.

LNS 117 ~ All about Babies
This week's challenge on the Late Night Stamper's group is "All About the Babies"! Here is a card that I made:

I got this idea when I was looking through the Spanish version of the Idea Book and Catalog. The base of the card is So Saffron, then the next layer is So Saffron as well. I added pop dots to each corner and tied a piece of Certainly Celery satin ribbon around the card. Then I stamped the saying in Basic Black and colored in the hearts with a Rose Red marker. I used the Baby Tees jumbo wheel and wheel the tees across a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut out one of the tees. I colored it in with SU markers and then layered it onto the card stock. I did add pop dots to the back of the tee.
Supplies:
- Baby Bundle stamp set and Baby Tee jumbo wheel
- So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Whisper White card stock
- Basic Black ink pad
- SU Markers
- Certainly Celery satin ribbon
- 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Extra Large punch and 1 3/4" Circle Punch
- Pop dots
I hope that you have time to play along, just upload your entry to the folder by Sunday. For more information the Late Night Stampers group, please visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StampinUpLNStampers/
