LNS Challenge 113

This week's challenge over at the Late Night Stamper's is a color challenge!!!  The colors are Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Early Espresso.  Here is what I came up with:

I used the Bold Blossom stamp set, which is currently in the Occasions Mini Catalog and will also be in the Summer Mini Catalog too!!!  This card really makes me think "Spring", now if the weather would ever cooperate here in Minnesota, that would be perfect!!

The base of the card is Early Espresso, followed by Certainly Celery and then So Saffron.  The So Saffron was ran through the Big Shot, using the Polka Dot embossing folder.  Then I stamped the stems in Certainly Celery ink and the flowers in Blushing Bride ink.  I cut out all of the flowers and attached them with pop dots.  Then  I added a rhinestone jewel to each center.  For the ribbon, I put down a piece of sticky strip red line tape and the gather the 3/8" Certainly Celery satin ribbon along it.

Supplies:

  • Bold Blossom stamp set
  • Early Espresso, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Whisper White card stock
  • Certainly Celery and Blushing Bride ink pads
  • Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder
  • 3/8" Certainly Celery satin ribbon, Sticky Strip tape, pop dots
  • Rhinestone Jewels

I hope that you can find time to play along with the group.  Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StampinUpLNStampers/  and join in the fun.  You have until Sunday night to added your card to the photo album marked Challenge 113 Members.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope that you have enjoyed my creation today!!!

My Stampin’ “Classroom”

I thought that I would share some pictures of where I have my class every month.  I have classes in my basement, which works out perfectly!!  It's a wide open space, enough room for 8 people and all of stampin' items are down there.  I would love to show you pictures of my actual stamp room, but that would require some major cleaning and I'm not sure if that will ever get done!!!!!!  The one thing I wish for, is to finish the bathroom done there, hopefully we can get to that this year.

I set up two 6 foot tables and at each table there is four stations.  This night was my monthly card class, so there are 8 different cards to make.  Everything is put at each spot, then you take one of everything out and make your card.  The card stock is cut, scored and folded and ready to go.  I provide everything including the snail, scissors, pop dots, etc.  All you need to bring is yourself!!

Did you notice my decor elements on the wall?  I just love these items from Stampin' Up!, it's a fast and easy way to added a little something.

And of course, don't forget the treats……

I always serve yummy treats and refreshments.  My next card class will be on Tuesday, March 22nd or Wednesday, March 23rd starting at 6:30pm.  The cost is $15 for 8 cards with envelopes.  If you are interested, just let me know.  There is always room for more and it's so nice to leave with 8 cards that are all done and ready for you to use!!  Anyone and everyone can stamp, it's a wonderful hobby and/or business.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me know what you think of my area.

TSSC 165

It's still Monday, by a few hours and here is this week's sketch challenge:

I love this sketch, I just didn't have all the time and energy to create mine.  Poor little Lindsay has the flu bug, running a high fever, chills, coughing, etc.  It's so hard to tend to her because she can't tell you what she wants or needs yet.  She almost two, but not till next week.  Anyways here is my card:

This is a bright and cheery card that represents Spring, which also happens to be this week's challenge over at the Late Night Stampers.  The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz followed by Whisper White and then m>Blushing Bride.  I took the scallop trim border punch and punched out the Whisper White card stock and then added a piece of Pear Pizzazz designer series paper from the Level 1 hostess items in the Idea Book and Catalog.  I stamped the saying, which is from the Level 2 hostess set in the Occasion Mini Catalog, in Regal Rose ink.  The flowers are from For All You do stamp set, I used the rock-n-roll technique on them.  Blushing Bride and then rock-n-roll into Regal Rose, cut them out and added a pearl jewel to each one.  Added pop dots of two of the flowers and then attached to the card.  Finally, using my tool spritzer and a Regal Rose marker, I added a few specs of color and then added Vanilla Shimmer Spritz to the card.

Supplies:

  • For All You Do and Something to Celebrate stamp sets
  • Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Whisper White card stock
  • Designer Series Paper pack – In Colors (Level 1 hostess item)
  • Blushing Bride and Regal Rose ink pads
  • Scallop Trim border punch, Pearl Jewels, Vanilla Shimmer Spritz and pop dots
  • Tool Spritzer, Regal Rose SU marker

I hope that you will join the fun, please visit www.technostamper.blogspot.com and enter yours today!!
