28 hours and counting…….
until Sale-a-bration 2010 and Occasion Mini catalogs comes to an end. Did you get your favorite FREE SAB items or is there something that you just have to have yet?? You have until tomorrow at 11pm to place your order. You can either call me, email me or go to my website and place an order. Hit the shop button on the blog and go from there. By far the most popular set that I have given away is Happy Moments. It has flowers, presents, birdcage and sayings. It will work for many occasions.

Here is a card that uses many items from the Sale-a-bration catalog, Happy Moments stamp set, scallop trim border punch and welcome home designer series paper. The base of the card is Whisper White card stock, then a layer of Bermuda Bay card stock. I took a piece from the Welcome Home designer series paper and punch the border on the bottom. I tied a piece of Whisper White satin ribbon around the card. I stamped the presents in Bermuda Bay ink and layer it onto the card stock. Finally I used Well Scripted and stamped the saying in Bermuda Bay. It is always a good idea to have a few birthday cards on hand.
Supplies:
- Happy Moments and Well Scripted stamp sets
- Bermuda Bay and Whisper White card stock
- Welcome home designer series paper
- Bermuda Bay ink pad
- Whisper White satin ribbon
- Scallop trim border punch
I hope that you enjoyed today’s sample. Remember that tomorrow is the last day that you can order from the Sale-a-bration and the Occasion Mini catalog. If you miss out, you will have to wait to see if your favorite items make it into the Idea Book and Catalog. So just to be on the safe side, order what you must have.

TSSC #115
Well, lets just say that it has been way too long since I participated in Mary Jo’s technostamper sketch challenge. I finally found time this afternoon to play around with the sketch. I had so much fun with it, that I created two samples.

Here is the original sketch, I’m loving this layout and our double sided designer series paper. Here are my two samples:

Hip-Hip Hooray Card:
The base of the card is Taken with Teal, then I added a layer of Sweet Pea designer series paper. The bottom piece is actually the back side of the top half of Sweet Pea ds paper. Then added the layer of Pumpkin Pie card stock and then finally a strip of Taken with Teal that was punched through the scallop border punch. I stamped the hippo in Black Staz on and used the watercolor crayons to color in him. I scribble taken with teal color onto a scratch piece of paper, then picked up the color with the aqua painter and colored him in. This is the only way I seem to be able to watercolor items light, usually I get them too dark. I am very happy with the way it turned out.
Supplies:
- Pun Fun stamp set
- Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie and Confetti White card stock
- Black Staz on ink pad
- Watercolor crayons (taken with teal & pumpkin pie), aqua painter, whisper white organza ribbon, scallop border punch and pop dots

The next card starts out with Old Olive, then add a layer of welcome neighbor designer series paper, then a strip from the same paper pack, then a layer of crushed curry textured card stock and I ran an old olive strip through the scallop punch border. I stamped the house in pumpkin pie and then the roof in old olive, finally stamped welcome in basic black. I stamped the clouds in Bermuda Bay and then cut them out and applied them with pop dots
Supplies:
- Good Neighbors and Warm Words stamp sets
- Old Olive and Whisper White card stock
- Crushed Curry textured card stock
- Welcome Neighbor ds paper
- Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay ink pads
- Scallop border punch and pop dots
I hope that you enjoyed my samples. If you have time, you should play along with Technostamper’s sketch challenge. Click here, to get to MJ’s blog and add yours to Mr. Linky.

Vintage Vogue Wedding….

Welcome to another sample from my card class, this past week. I was proud of myself at my cards for this class, I actually came up with all the designs by myself! Usually I browse blogs and a few other sites and gather ideas and make something, but I really didn’t have the time for that. This card is perfect for a summer wedding, I started out with Whisper White card stock as the base. Then I added a layer of Basic Black cs, then Bride Specialty Paper. Which by the way, if you don’t have this, you need to get it. The paper is so much prettier in real life, it shines and gives off such a pretty reflection, I love it!!!! I stamped the word in Basic Black ink first, then I took the Vintage Vogue stamp and went around the entire piece of Whisper white card stock. I only put about half of the stamped image on the cs, the rest was stamped off the edge. I tied the Basic Black satin ribbon around the two layers and then added the half pearl on the knot with two mini glue dots.
This card does go together quick. I did notice that if I touched my Whisper White card stock, too soon after stamping that it had smeared. I am not sure why it did this, maybe because I just re-ink my pad. Just a word of caution.
Supplies:
- Vintage Vogue and Well Scripted stamp sets
- Basic Black and Whisper White card stock
- Bride Specialty Paper
- Basic Black ink pad
- Basic Black satin ribbon, pretties kit, mini glue dots
Of course I couldn’t forget the envelope, it must match!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have enjoyed my share. Thank you for your comments, I love reading all of them!

Happy Birthday to Lindsay!!!
Today is Lindsay 1st birthday!!!! We had a wonderful party for her on Saturday, I had so much fun making her invitations. Since we call her ladybug, that had to be the theme. I used the my digital studio for the cards and then I stamped on them as well. My digital studio is a wonderful tool to have, you can do so many different things on it.
The base of my card is Rose Red with a layer of Regal Rose. Then I went to my digital studio and wrote up the text and insert the picture and printed them off on Whisper white card stock. I stamped the blades of grass using Inspired by Nature with Certainly Celery ink. I stamped the ladybug in Regal Rose and Rose Red craft ink and then added Iridescent Ice emboss powder, heat set them and then cut them out. They are added on with pop dots. I took a black marker and added a little trail behind the ladybugs. Cute, simply and yet time consuming. I ended up making 15 invitations, which was 30 ladybugs to cut out.
Here were the insides…..
Supplies:
- Inspired by Nature and Garden Whimsy stamp sets
- My digital studio
- Rose Red, Regal Rose and Whisper White card stock
- Rose Red and Regal Rose craft ink pads
- Certainly Celery ink pad
- SU Marker and pop dots
- Iridescent Ice emboss powder and heat gun
I hope that you have enjoyed today’s post. Maybe I have inspired you to create your own invitations, give it a try, they can be done.
We had a wonderful 1st birthday party, my little baby is walking and talking a little bit. I guess that she isn’t a baby anymore.
