What a day!!!

Posted by Brenda on Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

oops, I never got to post yesterday, it was an eventful day.  First my little ladybug has been sick since Sunday night, she ended up having an ear infection and a sore throat, got some medicine, it didn’t help.  We are getting something new today, hopefully she will sleep a few hours at night.  Then I decided to clean off the top of my cupboards.  I have a plate rack with Danbury Mint plates up there, well the first 5 went great, then I moved to the corner and all hell broke lose.  My oak chair that I was standing on, move and it landed up on our register grate, which is broken, so the chair fell into the hole, causing me to drop the plate and trying to hang onto soemthing, so I grabbed the the top of the cupboard, well that didn’t last I pulled out the top molding and fell and the wood landed on me and hit me in the head.  Broke glass, cut fingers, and falling molding.  So needless to say, I had to clean up the mess and fix the molding and find a new plate on ebay.  I’m taking my chair up to my dad’s today, so hopefully he will be able to fix it.

I will be back after work today to post a new sample.  I do have some exciting news, so my blog will be getting a new look.  I can’t wait!!!  Michelle Laycock, does an awesome job and I am excited to see what she will come up with.

Happy Stampin’~

Flowers in a vase

Posted by Brenda on Monday, March 8th, 2010

Here is one of the cards that we made at my Sale-a-bration open house.  I wanted cards that were quick to re-create, so that people could get done and then have time to look through the catalogs.

This is one of my favorite sale-a-bration sets, Happy Moments.    The base of the card is Taken with Teal, then add whisper white and cut a piece of Sweet Pea designer series paper.  Stamp the flowers in Basic Black ink and then color in with SU markers, Taken with Teal, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Always Artichoke.  For the vase, take the large oval punch, punch out in Taken with Teal and then cut off the bottom and the top to make your vase.  Add pop dots and then you are done!

Supplies:

  • Happy Moments stamp set
  • Taken with Teal and Whisper White card stock
  • Sweet Pea designer series paper
  • Basic Black ink pad
  • SU markers, large oval punch and pop dots

I hope that you have enjoyed today’s sample.  We will see you tomorrow!

Happy Stampin’~
