Rain or Shine or Sleet or Snow….
We are having the "never-ending" winter here in Minnesota, its April 18th and its snowing, sleeting, raining, cold and windy. It's just the kind of day that makes you want to create spring.

I started by looking through my designer series paper and finding anything that screamed spring to me. I decided on the Sunshine & Sprinkles ds paper, its on page 28 of the mini catalog. Then I just picked a few colors that matched, Lucky Limeade, Basic Gray, Marina Mist & Melon Mambo. I used my Big Shot and the Cloud Day embossing folder, (also page 28 of the mini catalog) that is done on the Marina Mist card stock. Then I used a piece of 3/8" Melon Mambo Striped Organdy Ribbon, page 30 of the mini catalog. I stamped the umbrella in Melon Mambo and the handle in Basic Gray and careful cut them out. I would not recommend making a bunch of these, unless you like to cut. I applied the umbrella with a few pop dots and stamped the saying in Basic Gray on the bottom. It's a little sunshine in this yucky day!

Ha”BEE” Day to you!!
I have been wanting to make a bee card every since I saw the Honeycomb folder. It also helps that there is a bee in the Spring Sampler stamp set as well. I hope that you enjoy this creation today!

The base of the card is Basic Black card stock, which is a little difficult to see on my black background, sorry about that. I ran a piece of Daffodil Delight cs through the Big Shot, using the Honeycomb embossing folder and then added a piece of Whisper White card stock behind that, leaving 1/8" edge. I took my Basic Black SU marker and went along the outside of each honeycomb, it really makes the card "pop". For the bees, I stamped them onto Whisper White card stock, using Black Staz on ink and Daffodil Delight SU marker, colored the stripes in. I punched them out with the 1 inch circle punch and then I used the 1 1/4" Scallop circle punch on Basic Black card stock. I added Crystal Effects to each bee, just to give them a little shine. I added pop dots to the back of each one as well.
Of course I don't like to send out "naked" envelopes, so don't forget to stamp it. I did a little trail with my Basic Black SU marker.
Supplies:
- Spring Sampler (125510 w or 125512 c)
- Basic Black, Daffodil Delight & Whisper White card stock
- Black Staz On ink pad
- SU Markers in Basic Black & Daffodil Delight
- 1 inch circle punch & 1 1/4" Scallop circle punch
